Note Reading Worksheets
Knowing the names of the notes, like a lot of things studied in grade 1, is absolutely essential.
These note reading worksheets will help you practice how well you can name notes in both Treble and Bass clef.
It is also essential to be able to accurately draw a treble clef symbol and a bass clef symbol. So if it is needed, additional practice outside of these exercises would be advantageous.
The exercises can get tedious, but being able to recognise the notes instinctively will undoubtedly make future grades far easier. So do the exercises until you are confident in naming all of the notes looked at in the lesson. Once you get to this stage, continuing to do these exercises isn’ necessary.
These exercises are free for distribution, as long as the logo at the top of the pages, and copyright information at the bottom of the pages remains there, ensuring a clear link back to www.learningmusictheory.co.uk.
